Hand in Hand Lake County is a faith-based organization helping individuals overcome addiction by introducing them to God’s forgiveness. “We believe God is the answer for their recovery,” Executive Director David Douglas said. “It’s what separates us from other programs. Mount Dora Christian wins 3 state track titles
Mount Dora Christian Academy claimed three individual state titles in field events on the first day of the state track and field championships Friday at IMG Academy. MDCA junior Cooper Monn won two of those titles. MDCA football standout Jesiah Pierre, a sophomore, picked up the other state title for the Bulldogs with a first-place finish in the discus while teammate Caleb Baker added a fourth-place showing. C1
