This agency keeps referring people to use the District Direct app and website, however, they never check your documents in a timely manner. I uploaded documents for a change well over three months ago, I called about the change once to verify that they received the documents online and they confirmed that they did and would process them, and here I am again calling yet again asking why are the documents still pending approval. I always wait on hold for an hour at the minimum for someone to answer the phone. Shortly after answering the phone they put me on hold again or transfer me to someone else therefore I have to hold until they answer. It is tedious to deal with this agency.
DC GVMT hasnt changed at all!

Called to report a food stamp fraud case. The hour hold told me that they dont care. That is ridiculous.

This agency is ridiculous. Employees tell you anything to make you think that your application and paper work is being reviewed. I completed all information needed two months ago. Every time I check the status, it reads pending. It angers me that people from other countries can come here and get food stamps, medicaid/medicare, money and medical assistance at a drop of a dime. A person born here, worked here all their life, get laid off or need assistance from DC can't get anything. Not only is the money being used to help those not deserving of it, it is what the Mayor was called out on doing with it, putting it some place else. DC has become a place of disgrace to call home.
