Chardon church hosting Mental Health First Aid training

May 13—Celebration Lutheran Church in Chardon will host Mental Health First Aid training from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.June 24, led by Mental Health First Aid Ohio.
MHFA teaches how to identify, understand, and respond to signs of mental illness and substance use disorders. This training is intended to give participants the skills they need to reach out and provide initial support to someone who may be developing a mental health or substance use problem and help connect them to the appropriate care, according to a news release.
This training, including lunch, is free, but registration is required online. Celebration Lutheran Church is located at 10621 Auburn Road in Chardon.
