Richard Wayne Eichelberger, Sr., 94, of Lawrenceville, GA, passed away on Monday, January 23, 2017.
A native of Portsmouth, Ohio, Mr. Eichelberger was retired as a buyer for Sears, Roebuck and Co. He was a U.S. Army veteran of WWII.
Richard was preceded in death by his wife, Minnie Lucille Eichelberger, his son, Richard Wayne Eichelberger, Jr., and his parents, William A. Eichelberger and Sue Partlow Eichelberger.
Survivors include his daughters and son-in-law, Teresa Owens of Lawrenceville and Betty and David Cropper of Snellville; grandchildren, J.B. Owens (Melissa), Erin Enekewa (Sledge), Olivia Johnston (Jeremy), Bryce Eichelberger (Beth) and Chara Garcia (Alejandro); great grandchildren, Laura Jane Owens, Joel Johnston, Eli Eichelberger, Sam Eichelberger, Brendan Eichelberger, Sofia Garcia and Isabella Garcia.
Graveside services will be held 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, February 1, 2017, at the Mound Cemetery in Piketon, Ohio, with military services being conducted by the American Legion Merritt Post #142, Waverly, Ohio.
